Pooped Bomb Holding down for 10 seconds will cause your Stock to light up.
Once your stock is lit, release to fire.
Backfire Fires automatically if an enemy appears behind "Air Zonk".

Press at the title screen to open the menu.
To start the game, go to "HARDNESS" and select the preferred level with the .
Press to start the game.
You can listen to songs from the game under "MUSIC".
Select a track with the , then press to play.
"Air Zonk" will power down 1 level each time he takes damage from an enemy. If he takes damage at level 1, you lose a life.
If you lose all your lives, it's GAME OVER.
Select "CONTINUE" from the GAME OVER screen to retry the stage from the beginning.
Select "STOP" if you want to end the game and return to the title screen.


Defeat enemies with Fire Shots and Bombs as you power up "Air Zonk" and proceed through the stages. Eliminate the Boss waiting at the end of each stage, then take out "SandroVitch" at the end of the final stage.
One of "Air Zonk"'s "Friends" awaits his rescue in each stage.
If you rescue "Friends" they will help "Air Zonk" attack enemies, and they can also combine with him to unleash even more powerful attacks.


About STAGE SELECT

Once you start the game, the STAGE SELECT screen will appear.
Select one of the four stages with the , then press to begin.
You can't select stages you've already cleared.


About Score and Stock

Your Stock increases by 1 as your Score reaches 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, 50,000 and 100,000 points.
Your Stock then increases every 100,000 points after that.
You can accumulate up to 9 Stocks.


About Spring Flowers

There are five colors of Spring Flowers, with a different item appearing from each one when "Air Zonk" touches it.
You can also change their color, in the order of yellowpinkgreenblue, by shooting them.
However, they will sometimes change into the Turbospider enemy, so be careful when doing this.


Yellow Releases 1 Smiley Face.
Pink Releases Meat.
Green Releases multiple Smiley Faces as it shoots upward.
Blue Releases an "Air Zonk" Mark (1UP).
Flashing Releases a Baby Bottle.

About Power-ups

"Air Zonk" can power up a maximum of 5 levels by collecting the Meat that comes from the pink Spring Flower.
At first you can only power up to level 3, but by meeting certain conditions, you can then transform to levels 4 and 5.
"Air Zonk" will power down 1 level each time he takes damage from an enemy. If he takes damage at level 1, you lose a life.
("Air Zonk" starts the game at level 2.)


About Combined Attacks with "Friends"

Rescuing the "Friend" in each stage allows "Air Zonk" to combine with them for powerful attacks.
He can also fight separate from "Friends" and have them attack on their own. to combine or separate. Different situations will call for different approaches.
