Press at the title screen to bring up the game mode menu.
Select the number of players and game mode, then select GAME START.

In PC-ENGINE MODE, your health will decrease when you touch an enemy.
However, you may lose a life if hit by an enemy attack.
After clearing a stage, your health will recover to "5." You cannot recover health during
the game.
In ARCADE MODE, you will lose a life with enemy contact.

At GAME OVER you can choose whether or not you wish to continue.
Select CONTINUE to restart playing in the middle of a game. Select END to exit the game and return to the title screen.



It is the 19th century.
The main character, Moonlight, is plagued by a obscure memory of himself, as a wolf, witnessing his father's death.

After 16 years of being raised as a ninja,
Moonlight discovers that his father was a "rogue ninja" and his killer was a ninja as well.
Moonlight chooses to become a "rogue" himself to avenge his father's death as well as uncover the mysteries surrounding his birth.

Ninja Spirit is an action game including 7 chapters. Avoid the continuous attacks of the opposing ninja clans and defeat the bosses at the end of each chapter.

Weapons

Each of the main character's weapons has special characteristics that make them effective in resisting certain enemy attacks.
You can also pick up items to power up your weapons.


The katana has a short range, but it can be used to destroy enemy projectiles.
The katana's range can be increased by picking up items.

The shuriken is the weakest of the weapons,
but can be used to attack enemies at far distances. The shuriken can be powered up to fire in three directions.

Bombs are slow, but they have the strongest attack power and are very effective against enemies with high defense.
Power up Bombs to throw them rapidly.

Although the chain and sickle leave Moonlight open to attack, its power and attack distance are high.
The weapon can be used to destroy enemy projectiles. When powered up, you can use to control its direction.

Jump The strength of your jump changes depending on how long you hold down .
