Getting Started

Use to select a difficulty setting and character, then press to begin the game.
You lose a life if you are hit by an enemy's attack or you touch an enemy.
Lose all your lives and it's GAME OVER.
You can continue as many times as you like following a GAME OVER.
Press before the countdown reaches 0 to restart from the beginning of the last stage you played.

Basic Play

Story (explanation of the opening demo)

Despite having dominated the Galactic Bodybuilding Contest for the past 10 years, the emperor of Planet Builder felt ill at ease.
His home planet's supply of PROTEIN was running out.
Holding muscular prowess to be the supreme virtue of the universe, the forces of Planet Builder indiscriminately invaded nearby planets.
Unwilling to stand by and let their celestial home be laid to waste, "IDATEN" and "BENTEN" set forth to drive out the invading Builder forces, destroy their PROTEIN mining facilities, and make their way to Planet Builder itself to annihilate this galactic menace!

Playing the Game

There are 5 stages in this muscle-themed horizontally scrolling shooter.
BULK UP (POWER UP) your character as you use your rapid-fire shot and special attack to take down the BUILDER ARMY.
Defeat the bosses throughout each stage, "bulking" yourself up to face the emperor of Planet Builder himself in the final stage.

Options

"ADON" and "SAMSON" are able-bodied muscular Options who provide your character with supporting fire during the game.
Like your character they can BULK UP with PROTEIN as well as fire their own MAN BEAM, but they also shield you from enemy fire.
Likewise, pressing while firing your rapid-fire shot will turn them into a HOMING MISSILE that smashes into enemies.
In addition to "ADON" and "SAMSON", there is also "ANGEL", a rare Option, as well as hidden Options.

BULKING UP

Use the "PROTEIN" that appears when you defeat certain enemies to BULK UP your character and Options.
You can power up your character up to 10 levels, and your Options up to 5 levels.
