Basic Controls
How to select a base
Right: 1B
Up: 2B
Left: 3B
Down: Home
Call Time
When calling time, press to bring up the scoreboard
When calling time, press to substitute for a pitcher/pinch hitter
Offense, Batting Controls
Adjust player's position in the batter's box

(When lining up the sweet spot) Left/Right:
Move the bat to meet the pitch
Bunt/Cancel Bunt
Swing
(Before pitch is thrown) Use to select a base to advance to and press to lead off

(After pitch is thrown) Use to select a base to advance to and press to steal a base
Offense, Running Controls
Use to select a base to advance to and press to run to the base
Use to select a base to go back to and press to return to the base
Defense, Pitching Controls
(Before throwing a pitch) Set pitch location to either the left or right

(Throwing a pitch/After release) Alter pitch movement
Up: Throw a change up
Down: Throw a fastball
Right: Throw a curve that breaks right
Left: Throw a curve that breaks left
While holding , press to shift the defense

How to select a defensive shift

Up: Pull defense back
Down: Pull defense in
Right: Shift defense towards 1B line
Left: Shift defense towards 3B line
(Before throwing pitch) Make a pickoff throw
When throwing a pitch, hold to alter pitch movement
Defense, Fielding Controls
Move fielder/field ball

(After fielding ball) Select a base to throw to
(Before fielding ball) Use to choose the direction of your jump and press to make a diving catch

(After fielding ball) Hold to select a base to throw to and press to keep the runner from advancing.
(Before fielding ball) Use to choose the direction of your jump and press to make a diving catch

(Before fielding ball or when making a pickoff throw) Hold to select a base to throw to and press to throw the ball

Press or at the title screen to start game.
In VERSUS MODE 2 players can play against each other.

* When you play VERSUS MODE with 2 people, then you need 2 controllers that can be used with the Virtual Console.
For more information, please refer to the Wii Operations Manual.


This game has 5 different modes.
Use to choose your team and press to select.
In "VERSUS MODE", "OPEN MODE", and "WATCH MODE", after choosing a team move the
left or right to select whether to be the visiting or home team.
The side with the "bat" icon is the visiting team, the side with the "glove" is the home team.


VERSUS MODE
VERSUS MODE is for 2 players.
Pick your favorite team, select whether to be the visiting or home team, then play ball!


OPEN MODE
OPEN MODE is for 1 player.
Play alongside your favorite team.
PENNANT MODE
PENNANT MODE is for 1 player.
Beat rival teams and try to win your league. When first playing PENNANT MODE, at the password screen enter "0000" as your password.
Win the most games to become league champion. Beat the other league's champion to become world champions. After becoming world champions, you will face off against the legendary team WORLDCHAMPS.


WATCH MODE
Watch two computer opponents play against each other.
EDIT MODE
In EDIT MODE, you can edit your starting lineup and starting rotation with players from your FARM system.
Use to line up the cursor with the player you wish to send down to the FARM, and press to select that player.
Next, select the player you wish to call up, and press to complete the change. There is no limit to the amount of changes you can make to your team.
When you are finished making changes, select EXIT.
Press at team select to return to the title screen.


About PENNANT MODE password
Whenever you win a game in PENNANT MODE, a password will be displayed.
Be sure to write this password down, so that even if you quit your game, you will be to able to replay that team.
When you choose your team for "PENNANT MODE", "PASS WORD 0000" will display on the screen.
Input the 4 digit password you wrote down with .
After inputting the 4 digit password, press to enter it.
Should either the team or password be mistakenly entered, the name of opposing team from the first game (the team selected by inputting "0000") will be displayed.


About substituting for pitcher/pinch hitter
After calling time, press to substitute for a pitcher/pinch hitter. Use to line up the cursor with the player you wish to substitute, and press to select that player.
Press to cancel.

* Runner display will only appear when there is a runner on either 1B or 3B.



Field screen
1 Stadium Window

* The Stadium Window is a mini-view of the entire stadium.
   The "red dots" show the location of the fielders, the "blue dots" show the location
   of the runners, and the "white dot" shows the location of the ball.
